Waynesville, North Carolina – BLE was requested to perform a geotechnical exploration to assist the design of a proposed 911 radio tower at two potential locations. BLE performed two soil test borings at the two separate locations (total of 4 borings) that were being considered. After composing an engineering report for both potential locations, BLE delivered the results to the project design team.

Once the location had been decided, BLE performed a NEPA Screening Report under the Federal Communications Commission’s regulations. The NEPA Screening Report was constructed to determine if the proposed radio tower would be likely to have an environmental impact on the predetermined categories specifically identified and defined under the standard.

The scope of work shown in this project, geotechnical engineering and environmental consulting, showcase BLE’s cross-disciplinary capabilities and our unique approach to meeting our clients’ needs with our broad experience and expertise across multiple departments.
