Hampton Avenue Pedestrian Bridge

Greenville, SC – BLE provided full Construction Engineering & Inspection (CE&I) services for the Hampton Avenue Pedestrian Bridge, a 161‑foot pedestrian bridge spanning nine railroad tracks at the Greenville Depot. Engaged by Greenville County, our team delivered focused project management and quality control oversight to ensure compliance with project specifications throughout construction.

Key CE&I services included:

• Detailed bridge inspections and ongoing monitoring of structural elements and component installation.
• Embankment and approach roadway inspections, verifying compaction, grading, and earthwork compliance.
• Asphalt and concrete testing and inspections to confirm material quality and correct placement techniques.
• Design review and constructability recommendations to optimize the bridge design and support successful field implementation.

BLE coordinated with the County and project stakeholders to support safe, compliant construction, and provided all CE&I documentation and final deliverables to Greenville County for project closeout.
