Jesse R. Jacobson, P.E. — Vice President & Director of Technical Services

Jesse serves as Vice President and Director of Technical Services, providing leadership and oversight for BLE’s technical standards, quality initiatives, and professional development. With more than 25 years of experience, Jesse supports complex geotechnical projects, mentors engineering staff, and helps maintain technical consistency across the firm’s service offerings.

Darren Nease, P.E. — Vice President & Director of Branches

As Vice President and Director of Branches, Darren leads BLE’s branch offices to ensure consistent performance, growth, and technical quality. He partners with branch managers and staff to standardize systems and procedures, strengthen services and client relationships, promote collaborative communication across offices, and develop future leaders while preserving BLE’s culture and commitment to technical excellence.

Lauren Fitzgerald, PHR, SHRM-CP, CBP — Vice President & Director of Administration

Lauren serves as Vice President and Director of Administration while continuing her role as Human Resources Manager. She provides strategic leadership for administrative, human resources, compliance, training, and people-focused initiatives that support BLE’s culture and long-term success. With more than 17 years of HR experience, Lauren plays a key role in aligning organizational systems, employee engagement, and leadership development across the firm.

Chad Rowland, P.E. — Vice President & Director of Operations

As Vice President and Director of Operations, Chad supports firmwide operational strategy, process improvement, and organizational alignment. He works closely with BLE’s leadership team to strengthen systems, drive consistency across offices, and support project execution. Chad also serves as Department Manager for Regional Quality Assurance, providing technical oversight for construction quality assurance services across a wide range of markets.

Robert “Ty” Hawkins, CHMM — Vice President & Director of Client Services

Ty serves as Vice President and Director of Client Services, overseeing BLE’s client relationships and strategic engagement efforts. In this role, he aligns business development, marketing, and client service strategies to support sustainable growth and long-term partnerships across BLE’s environmental, geotechnical, and construction materials testing services. With 25 years of industry experience, Ty helps guide how BLE listens to, responds to, and delivers for its clients.
