BLE’s span of technical services were utilized in support of redevelopment of this property, which included time-sensitive completion of a Phase I ESA, Geotechnical Investigation, and subsequently a limited Phase II ESA. A dry-cleaning facility and two retail gas stations were identified in close proximity to the site during the Phase I ESA. These off-site facilities were considered to present an elevated risk to the redevelopment of the property. BLE was able to quickly respond to the potential environmental risk by mobilizing personnel and equipment to complete a Phase II ESA to assess the potential impact to soil and groundwater on the site. BLE’s investigation supported timely acquisition and redevelopment of the property while establishing a clear understanding of the environmental geotechnical aspects of the property.
